Jennifer Lopez has achieved a lifelong dream. On Sunday, Jan. 26, the actress teared up after receiving a standing ovation following the premiere of her new film, “Kiss of the Spider Woman,” at the Sundance Film Festival. “I’ve been waiting for this moment my whole life,” the singer, who stunned in a black and lace Valdrin Sahiti gown featuring a bejweled spider web design, said on stage during a Q&A after the screening. “The truth is when you talk about the importance of musicals – the reason that I even wanted to be in this business was because my mom would sit me in front of the TV and it would come on once a year, ‘West Side Story,’ on Thanksgiving, I remember. I was just mesmerized, and I was like, ‘That’s what I want to be. That’s what I want to do.’ That was always my goal,” she added. Jennifer then choked up as she continued, saying, “This is the first time I actually got to do it. It’s a big deal.” “Kiss of the Spider Woman” is based on the stage musical of the same name and is directed by Bill Condon, whose notable work includes “Chicago,” “Dream Girls,” and Disney’s live-action “Beauty and the Beast.”
