The MaxxECU Pro Xtreme 1/8-mile heads-up class stormed into the third stop of the 2025 XDA season at the 190Hookup.com Superbike Showdown with fierce competition and record-breaking performances, once again proving this is where horsepower meets heart.

Points leader Brunson Grothus, coming off back-to-back wins, set the tone early by clinching the #1 qualifying spot with a 3.972—the only three-second pass of qualifying. But his triple-win hopes were dashed in round two when a red light handed the win to Craig Rosenberg.

Entering the weekend ranked second and third in points, Tommy Saxon and Terry Schweigert were looking to close the gap. Saxon’s campaign ended in round one, while Schweigert seized the opportunity and took control of the bracket. With Grothus and Saxon both out early, Schweigert methodically advanced, taking down Coodee Thomas, Chris Cutsinger, and John Collins to punch his ticket to the final.

On the other side of the ladder, rising star Brayden Davis—fresh off his debut in the NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle ranks—was proving he’s a serious threat. Davis took down Chris Theodoridis, Jean Gosselin, and Craig Rosenberg to meet Schweigert in the final round.

In the semis, Schweigert threw down the first three-second pass of eliminations with a 3.964, setting the stage for a potential final round takeover. But in the final, it was Davis who nailed the tree with a razor-sharp .013 reaction to Schweigert’s .105. Despite the holeshot, Schweigert powered past with a winning 3.947 at 184.20 mph over Davis’ 4.043 at 175.64 mph.

With this win, Schweigert tightens the points battle and puts Grothus’ championship lead in jeopardy heading into the next round.
