A few years ago, the women of Sudan were on the frontlines of a revolution that brought civilian democratic governance to Sudan. Today, Sudan’s women are once again rising up to bring an end to the country’s civil war. A war that’s inflicted immense suffering on the Sudanese people and driven millions of families from their homes.

The United States is proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with these brave peace builders — those gathered in Geneva for critically important negotiations and millions of women and girls across Sudan.

And the United States will continue to stand with you until Sudan achieves a just, inclusive, and enduring peace.

United States Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken delivers a Message to Sudanese Women Leaders Advancing Peace and Security in Sudan.
