The newest Global Positioning System (GPS) III Satellite, GPS III SV08 “Katherine Johnson,” successfully launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida and is now undergoing on-orbit commissioning after just over three months of preparation—demonstrating rapid response and resilience for a critical national security mission.

SV08 joins a growing constellation delivering highly accurate, secure positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) services to military and civilian users around the globe.
