Nearly three years ago, in the middle of the night, Vladimir Putin launched the unprovoked and illegal full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Today Ukraine continues to bravely fight to defend its freedom.

The United Kingdom was the first to sign a security agreement with Ukraine, and today becomes the first to deliver a historic 100 Year Partnership, not only supporting Ukraine now, but investing in our two countries for the next century.

An agreement that will increase military collaboration, bring together experts to advance science and technology and deliver a schools’ partnership to boost education standards.

The UK stood with Ukraine at the very beginning of this war and will continue to stand with them for years to come.
