Members of the European Parliament assess the latest Europol annual report on the terrorism threat facing the EU with Jean-Philippe Lecouffe , the agency’s deputy executive director for operations.

Terrorism remains a priority for the EU. Recent attacks – such as the one that killed five people and injured over 200 at a Christmas market in Magdeburg, Germany, last December – highlight the ongoing risks to our safety and democratic values.

Europol’s annual Terrorism Situation & Trend Report gives insights on the terrorism threat landscape in the EU, based on data provided by member states on terrorist attacks, arrests and court decisions issued for terrorist offences.
It offers law enforcement officials, policymakers and the general public facts and figures on terrorism in the EU, while also identifying developing trends in this area.
