The highlight of the XL Autumn is the $1,050 buy-in, $1,000,000 GTD Main Event, which hosted a bunch of daily starting flights throughout October. That tournament is recapped in full below.

“23NoraB” Wins 2021 XL Autumn Main Event
For all of October, multiple Day 1 flights were held for the $1,050 buy-in XL Autumn #43: $1,000,000 Main Event. With 948 combined entrants, the tournament snuck by its guarantee by generating a $1,029,000 prize pool. The survivors from each flight returned for Day 2 action on Monday, November 1.

The top 126 finishers made the money and among those to earn a cash after Ukraine’s “InnaMatsenko” bubbled in 127th place were the following players –

After the UK’s “nlfreddie” bowed out in third place for $99,813, the title came down to “23NoraB” and Brazil’s “Kelvin_kerbe”.

It took just 5 hours and 14 minutes of play on Day 2 for the former to prevail to claim the title and $185,220 first-place prize.

It wasn’t the first time “23NoraB” had XL success. Back in January 2018, they topped a 774-entry field to win the XL Blizzard $215 buy-in Event #9: $120,000 Mega Deep for nearly $30,000.

It was redemption for “23NoraB,” who back in May 2017’s XL Inferno finished runner-up out of 902 players in Event #4: $150,000 Mega Deep for $23,452.

Malta’s “iTankAloT” Wins Event #28
On Tuesday, the $320 buy-in Event #28: $50,000 PKO saw 130 players rebuy 23 times. So, the $50,000 prize pool was split between the regular and bounty pools with the top 24 finishers getting a piece of the former.

Among those to make the money were the following players –

・“algsxr” (13th for $403.04 + $487.50 in bounties)
・“Starichok” (7th for $854.78 + $543.75 in bounties)

The final two players – Malta’s “iTankAloT” and Ukraine’s “bloodusama” – each locked up $5,396.47 in prize money. But they were also battling for a juicy $8,671.86 PKO bounty.

After 6.5 hours the player from Malta prevailed for a total payday of $14,068.39. It wouldn’t be his last time finishing as the last player standing in the series, which you’ll read more about below.

Tuesday also saw two other tournaments crown winners.

First, the United Kingdom’s “MAKKAPAKK” topped a 627-entry field to win the $55 buy-in Event #29: $25,000 Mini PKO for $5,931.64

Ukraine’s “SrtStars” prevailed over a 178-entry field to win the $109 buy-in Event #30: $20,000 Late PKO for $4,404.93.

Two 2-Time XL Autumn Winners
On Thursday, the first two-time winner of the XL Autumn was crowned. It happened when the United Kingdom’s “Octopokes” topped a 479-entry field (369 players who rebought 110 times) in the $55 buy-in Event #35: $15,000 Mini PKO 6-Max. This tourney crushed its guarantee by offering up a $23,950 prize pool.

The win came nine days after “Octopokes” topped a 138-player field to win the $109 buy-in Event #9: $15,000 Late Freezeout for $3,487.50.

The top 42 finishers in the tournament made the money including the following players –

In other Thursday action, Brazil’s “boraodota” topped a 248-entry field to win the $215 buy-in Event #34: $40,000 PKO 6-Max for $10,309.11.

Romania’s “Ionutz2608bv” bested a 629-entry field to win the $22 buy-in Event #36: $10,000 Late PKO 6-Max for $1,929.68.

“Octopokes” wouldn’t be the only two-time winner. Malta’s “iTankAloT,” would join the exclusive club on the penultimate day of the series.

Back on October 26, “iTankAloT” bested a 153-entry field to win the $320 buy-in Event #28: $50,000 PKO for $14,068. He then followed that up four days later by topping a 335-entry field to win the $55 buy-in Event #42: $15,000 Late Knockout for an additional $2,722.
