JCB Triumph Hurdle
Run over two miles and one furlong on the new course, the Triumph Hurdle is contested exclusively by four-year-old juvenile novices. Nicky Henderson has saddled four winners in total, with Philip Hobbs on three, Willie Mullins, Paul Nicholls, Alan King and Gordon Elliott all on two.

・2020 Triumph Hurdle result: Burning Victory (12/1) came through to claim victory after the untimely departure of Goshen.
・2021 Triumph Hurdle prediction: Tritonic (14/1)

County Hurdle
The County Hurdle was traditionally the “Getting Out Stakes” until 2009 before it moved to being the second race on Gold Cup day. This two mile one furlong Grade 3 handicap is run on the new course with eight hurdles being jumped in all. You can guarantee a frantic pace. Willie Mullins has won the race five times in the last eleven years.

・2020 County Hurdle result: Saint Roi (11/2 f) landed a gamble and scored a convincing victory.
・2021 County Hurdle prediction: Wild Max (20/1)

Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle
Humorously referred to as “The Potato Race”, the contest was introduced to the Festival in 2005 and is run over two miles and five furlongs. Willie Mullins and Jonjo O’Neill lead the way in the Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle over the last 16 renewals, training two winners each.

・2020 Albert Bartlett result: Monkfish was very brave in digging out a neck victory at odds of 5/1.
・2021 Albert Bartlett prediction: Fakiera (25/1)

Cheltenham Gold Cup
Run over three miles, two and a half furlongs, the Gold Cup is the one race all the trainers, owners and jockeys want to win. It’s the main draw and the feature race of the entire Festival. Paul Nicholls has been the trainer to follow over the last 20 renewals with three victories, closely followed by Nicky Henderson and Willie Mullins.

・2020 Cheltenham Gold Cup result: Al Boum Photo (100/30 f) won for a second successive year.
・2021 Cheltenham Gold Cup prediction: Minella Indo (8/1)

Hunters Chase
The St James’s Place Festival Challenge Cup Open Hunters Chase is run over the same three-mile two-furlong distance as the Gold Cup and is the pinnacle race of an amateur jockey’s season.

・2020 Hunters Chase result: 66/1 shot It Came To Pass won for the O’Sullivan family.

Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle
The two-and-a-half mile Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle brings the four-day Festival to a close and this of course has been the new “Getting Out Stakes” since 2009. Willie Mullins, Gordon Elliott and Paul Nicholls are the form trainers to follow in this contest, however siding with whom you think is one of the better Conditionals is also a profitable tactic too.

・2020 Martin Pipe result: Indefatigable (25/1) powered up the hill to land a last gasp success.
・2021 Martin Pipe prediction: Pure Genius (20/1) in our 888sport online betting markets.
